Twitter metric descriptions

Buffer Analyze helps you dig deeper into your Twitter metrics. When you first subscribe to Analyze, we will backfill up to 28 days of Twitter post metrics and followers. After seven days have passed, Analyze will stop updating all metrics for the post. All metrics are pulled from Gnip, which is Twitter's enterprise data service.

We are unable to show Twitter ads /promoted tweets in the data at this time.

Metrics

The table below provides a description for each metric that appears within Analyze.

Tweets The number of tweets sent, not including retweets or replies.
Impressions The number of times people saw your tweet(s), either in their timeline or search results.
Engagements The total number of times a user interacted with your tweet(s). Interactions include retweets, replies, follows, likes, and clicks on links, cards, hashtags, embedded media, username, profile photo, or tweet expansion.
Engagement Rate The percentage of impressions that resulted in an engagement (number of engagements divided by the number of impressions).
Likes The number of likes your tweet(s) received.
Retweets The number of times your tweet(s) were retweeted.
Replies The number of replies on your tweet(s).
Clicks The number of clicks your tweet(s) received.
New Followers The number of followers you gained or lost.
Total Followers Your total number of followers.
