Why you pay for your channels when upgrading from the Free plan
If you're moving from Buffer's Free plan to a paid plan, it's natural to wonder why you’re now being charged for the channels you already had connected.
Our Free plan lets you connect up to 3 social channels and use our basic publishing tools. When you upgrade, those same channels move with you, but they now gain access to a full set of premium features including advanced publishing options, analytics, engagement tools.
Paid plans are charged per channel so if you upgrade from the Free plan, you'll pay for each of the channels you have connected, including the 3 you started with on the Free plan.
