When using a scheduling tool like Buffer, there will be instances when a social network rejects the post and returns an error message. Find your error below and follow the troubleshooting steps to get back on track.
No board selected
Error message: "This post couldn't be published because no Pinterest board was selected. Please edit the post and choose a board, then try again."
Why this happens: Every Pinterest post needs a board to publish to. If a post is scheduled without one selected, Pinterest rejects it.
What to do:
- Open the failed post in your queue.
- Edit the post and choose a board.
- Retry the post.
Invalid board
Error message: “So sorry, it seems this board doesn’t exist in Pinterest anymore, could you try again with a different board?”
Why this happens: If the board you’re trying to post to has been deleted, Buffer can’t publish the post.
What to do:
- Open the failed post in your queue.
- Edit the post and choose an existing board.
- Retry the post.
