Changing language on iOS

Adding a preferred language to your Apple Settings

The Buffer iOS app will default to English or Spanish, depending on the preference order you have set in the device's Language & Region settings (Settings > General > Language & Region > look under "Preferred Languages").

Toggling between Spanish and English within your Buffer app settings

Once you have set up your preferred languages in your Apple settings, you can follow the steps below to switch between English and Spanish in the Buffer app.

  1. On your iOS device, open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down to your list of apps and tap on Buffer.
  3. Tap Language.
  4. From there, you can choose between English and Spanish.

Changing language on Android

The Buffer Android app will default to English or Spanish, depending on the preference order you have set in the device's Language settings (Settings > System > Languages & input). It's not possible to switch between English and Spanish in the Buffer app. Instead, it will default to whichever language is at the top of your preferences.

📝 Please note that while the iOS app can be fully translated into Spanish, the Android app can only be partially translated into Spanish, and some content will always be shown in English.

Does the Buffer mobile app support other languages besides English and Spanish?

The Buffer mobile app cannot be translated into French (Français), German (Deutsch), Chinese (中文, Zhōngwén), Japanese (日本語, Nihongo), Italian (Italiano), Arabic (العربية, al-‘Arabīyah), or any language other than English or Spanish (Español).

Is it possible to change the language of the web dashboard on buffer.com?

At this time, buffer.com is only available in English. We do not have a way to translate the web interface into other languages at this time.
