Connecting your Shopify store to Buffer

Most social media analytics are limited to social media metrics, which doesn’t tell direct-to-consumer marketers how well their products are selling. With the Shopify integration for your Buffer analytics dashboard, you now have your Shopify and social media data in a single tool. This allows you to create modern visual reports for both Shopify and social media metrics.

📝 Currently, you are only able to connect one Shopify store to Buffer at a time. 

Follow the steps below to connect your Shopify store to Buffer:

  1. Click on your profile avatar at the top right of your dashboard and then click Account from the drop-down menu.

  2. Click the Channels option from the menu on the left hand side of your screen.
  3. Click Shopify. (If you already have channels connected, click Connect New Channel and then click Shopify.)


  4. Enter your Shopify store URL and click Connect Store.

  5. If you're not logged in to your Shopify store, you’ll be asked to log in. You will then be prompted to install Buffer in your Shopify store admin.

⚠️ At this time, Buffer is not approved as a "listed" app by Shopify as our platform is not an extension that can be downloaded and connected directly to a Shopify store. However, we've built our app in accordance with Shopify's API License and Terms of Use and we adhere to the principles set out here in order to continue having access to their API.
