# Switching organizations on the web

:::info
Looking for the mobile version of "[Switching organizations](https://support.buffer.com/en-us/articles/switching-organizations-on-the-buffer-mobile-app-MbGG7blAb4)"?

:::

As a Buffer user, you have your own organization and can add personal social channels that only you can access. You might also be a user in another organization with access to that organization's social channels. Learn more about the levels of user permissions here: [Getting started as a user in an organization](https://support.buffer.com/en-us/articles/getting-started-as-a-user-in-an-organization-euygyfky4N).

If you are part of more than one organization, you can switch between organizations on the web to post to the relevant accounts.

Once you’ve accepted your invitation and set up your account (if you didn’t have one already), you can see your individual organization and the new organization by navigating to your account menu. You can switch between the two organizations depending on where you’d like to work.

In the screenshot below, the different organizations are called "Luna Sneakers Team" (the checkmark indicates you're logged into that organization's channels), "Kelly's Org," and "Fashion Forward."

**Notes**

* If both organizations have the same name (such as the default “My Organization”), you can hover over each organization to see which channels are connected. The owner can rename the organization using this guide: [Renaming your Buffer organization](https://support.buffer.com/en-us/articles/renaming-your-buffer-organization-xrN1V4jj6p).
* If your organization's owner hasn’t set you up with access to any channels yet, you’ll see a message saying they need to grant you access. We suggest contacting the owner and asking them to set up your permissions using this guide: [Adding users and setting up permissions](https://support.buffer.com/en-us/articles/adding-users-and-setting-up-permissions-ixjiLpe2fd).
