# Re-ordering posts in your queue

It is sometimes necessary to change the order of the posts in your queue. You can do this by dragging and dropping posts into the desired order, or if you feel like really shaking things up, you can use the Shuffle feature to mix up the order of the first 200 posts in your queue.

## Reordering posts using drag and drop

Posts in your queue can be re-ordered using drag and drop. You can drag a post on top of another to swap their order (“drag and swap”!), or move a post into an empty posting slot.

**Notes**

* It is not possible to move custom scheduled posts using drag and drop, since those posts are locked in place.
* You can't move posts while **All Channels** is selected. Instead, please choose a specific channel from the left side before attempting to reorder your posts.

## Moving posts within your queue

If you’d like to quickly adjust where a post sits in your Queue (without dragging the post manually) you can use the **Move to Top** and **Move to Next Available Slot** options.

**Notes**

* It is not possible to move custom scheduled posts using **Move to Top** or **Move to Next Available Slot**, since custom scheduled posts are locked in place.
* You can't move posts while **All Channels** is selected. Instead, please choose a specific channel from the left side before attempting to re-order your posts.

1. Open your Queue and locate the post you’d like to move.
2. Click the three dots (**⋯**) on the post.
3. Choose ***Reorder.***
4. Then choose one of the following options:

#### Move to Top

Select ***Move to Top*** to instantly send the post to the very top of your Queue. This is helpful if you have time-sensitive content that should be published before anything else.

#### Move to Next Available Slot

Choose ***Move to Next Available Slot*** to shift the post to the next open publishing time in your Queue. Instead of replacing the first post, it finds the closest empty slot based on your posting schedule and moves the post there automatically.

## Shuffling your queue

The Shuffle feature allows you to mix up the order of the first 200 posts in your queue.

**Note:** you can only shuffle posts that are scheduled with the ***Next Available*** option. Posts that were scheduled for a custom date and time or posts added by clicking an empty posting slot in the queue will not be shuffled since they are locked in place.

Select the channel on the left hand side of your dashboard that you'd like to shuffle the queue for, click the gear icon next to the channel name.

Then click the ***Shuffle Queue*** button on the Settings page.
